Dr. Sutor, Vice President of Standards and Open Source at IBM, previously served on the OASIS Board of Directors and was recently named an "Open Source VIP" by Computer Business Review. Produced by the OASIS Web Service Secure Exchange (WS-SX) TC, WS-Trust and WS-SecureConversation define extensions that build on the WS-Security OASIS Standard to provide a framework for requesting and issuing security tokens and to broker trust relationships. Balloting on both specifications closes 28 Feb. The OASIS Entity Resolution TC created an XML version of the Entity Management catalog specification (OASIS Technical Resolution 9401:1997). The XML Catalog Specification 1.1 became an OASIS Standard on 1 October 2005 and has since been implemented in various products and platforms. OASIS thanks the TC participants for their contributions and dedication to this effort. Their work and mail list archives will remain publicly accessible.
